We Encourage Social Dancing<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

It’s important to encourage children to learn how to dance at an early age, but in our society not everyone gets that opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you know young people in your family who should be dancing, it might help if you yourself go dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t be shy about it. Many people take their first dance lesson in their fifties. It’s a challenge, there is a lot to learn, and it will take a year or two before you feel really confident, but you’ll find that other people love to see you learning, and they are willing to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many excellent dance teachers in Canterbury, and we encourage you to take lessons. But if that’s all you do learning will be slow, because you need a place to practice what you are learning. You could join us here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
